- Airfield coordinates: 41º 35' 18'' N 001º 39' 07'' E. Runway: 17 / 35 Elevation: 335 m / 1100 ft Radio frequency: 122.600 MHz The use aeronautical radio is required for all aircraft at all times during Aerosport 2012. Igualada is a non-controlled airfield. A voluntary flight information service is expected with callsign "Igualada Information" The information transmitted by Igualada Information does not exempt the pilot in command of each aircraft of their obligation to keep separation from terrain and other aircraft. All sorts of light aircraft are expected: trikes, gliders, powered chutes, 2- and 3-axis ultralights, helicopters, GA airplanes, etc. Pilots must look out at all times while flying. -A short pattern has been established (green in the attached maps) to be used exclusively by trikes, powered chutes or special situations. Caution possible glider activity in the vicinity of the field and especially to the E of it. Overflying residential areas should be avoided when possible. Aircraft flying with a flight plan must call number (+34)93 298 37 98 to file or cancel it. |

Traffic arriving at Aerosport must monitor frequency 122.600 MHz at least 10 km / 5.4 nm out of the field to receive information such as runway in use, traffic density, etc. Traffic arriving must report aircraft registration, aircraft type and position over the following reporting points :
Both patterns at both sides of the runway will be used. W pattern (left rwy 35, right rwy 17) will be preferred for powered aircraft. Runway occupancy time must be as short as possible . |
Departing traffic: when reporting taxi for departure must report flight intentions, initial heading and, for local flights, estimated duration. Examples:
Runway occupancy time must be as short as possible. |
